EN: A postcard of Constantinople titled "Constantinople – Monument Russe à St. Stefano" (No. 76), showing the impressive Russian Memorial Monument at San Stefano (Yeşilköy). This ornate Russian-style memorial tower, with its distinctive onion dome and elaborate stonework, was built to commemorate Russian soldiers who fell during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78. The card bears two Italian Levant stamps ("Costantinopoli, 10 Para 10") with Constantinople postmark. A historically significant image of a monument that was later demolished by the Ottomans in 1914. Good condition.
