EN: A lovely early 20th-century postcard of Constantinople – Princes Islands (Iles des Princes Prinkipo), No. 26, published by MB. The sepia photo shows Buyukada (Prinkipo) island waterfront with Ottoman-era wooden villas on wooded hillside and a rowboat on calm water. The Princes Islands were the favourite summer retreat of the Constantinople elite (Greek, Armenian, Jewish, Levantine communities). Two Ottoman blue stamps with circular Constantinople cancels. Addressed to: "Lucie Kluver, Berlin N 53, Schonhauser Allee 44" – the same recipient as Lot 129! Written in German Kurrent cursive from Constantinople circa 1905. A companion postcard to Lot 129 from the same correspondent.
