With "PAQUEBOT" linear marking indicating mail deposited on a ship. Marseille transit postmark on reverse (October 1909). Addressed to Madame Dubethier, Rue de la République, Le Luc, Var, France. The Messageries Maritimes company printed branding appears on the envelope flap. An excellent example of French Levant maritime mail combining the Salonika French post office, paquebot marking, and the famous Messageries Maritimes shipping line.
